Packing school lunches every day can feel repetitive but with a little creativity, you can make it fun, colourful, and something your kids actually look forward to eating.

Here’s a simple and delicious lunchbox I packed today using my customised bento lunchbox — perfect for busy mornings and balanced nutrition.

This combination includes a mix of:

✔️ Carbs for energy

✔️ Veggies for freshness

✔️ A fun treat kids love

🥔 Potato Pasties (Quick & Crispy)

These are super easy to make and perfect for lunchboxes — crispy on the outside and soft inside.

Ingredients:

1 boiled potato (mashed)

Salt & red pepper (to taste)

½ tsp cumin powder

½ tsp coriander powder

½ tsp cumin seeds

Fresh coriander (chopped)

1 tsp lemon juice

Puff pastry sheets

Egg wash

Method:

Mash the boiled potato in a bowl.

Add all spices, fresh coriander, and lemon juice. Mix well.

Cut puff pastry into small squares.

Add filling, fold into triangles, and seal the edges.

Brush with egg wash.

Air fry at 200°C for 7–8 minutes until golden and crispy.

👉 Let them cool slightly before packing in the lunchbox.

🌈 Fairy Bread Rolls (Fun Treat)

A fun, nostalgic favourite that kids absolutely love!

Ingredients:

Fresh bread slices

Butter

Sprinkles

Method:

Spread butter evenly on the bread.

Sprinkle generously with sprinkles.

Roll tightly and cut into bite-sized pieces.

🍓 Fresh Sides

To balance the meal, I added:

Passionfruit

Apricot

Cucumber sticks

These add natural sweetness, crunch, and freshness to the lunchbox.

💡 Lunchbox Packing Tip

Using a compartment-style bento lunchbox helps keep food separated, fresh, and visually appealing — which encourages kids to eat more variety.

With our bento lunchboxes, you don’t have to worry about smells mixing or your food losing its freshness.

Plus, the eye-catching designs — especially with their name printed on them — make kids excited and motivated to finish their lunchbox.
